Jones Elementary is an energetic learning organization that prides itself on meeting the needs of the community we serve today and into the future. Parent/Guardian-Teacher Conferences
Conferences are held in November and March and are a wonderful opportunity to learn about your child's progress in school.
Parent/Guardian Contact Information
In case of illness, accident or other emergency, the school will attempt to contact a child's parent or guardian. Please make sure the school has current contact information, including home, work, cell phone and pager numbers. In addition, be sure to keep the office informed of any changes in emergency contacts or child care arrangements.

Jones Teachers use Class Dojo to efficiently communicate with families. At Back to School Night teachers will go over more specifics about communication. Classroom teachers are not available during the instructional day. When they are teaching and supervising students they cannot read or respond to Dojo message or emails. In an emergency situation please call the front office at 619-605-8800.
The school principal will send out email messages with communication about important events, important dates, etc. Flyers about Jones and PTA events are posted to PeachJar. After School programs and community organizations will also share information via PeachJar.
Please ensure that your email address that is listed in the PowerSchool Parent Portal is correct and that you are checking this email regularly so that you do not miss communication from the school. Contact the school office if you need help updating your information. As a parent, it is your responsibility to ensure that you are receiving and reading the school and teacher communication in order to stay informed.

Facts for Parents is a yearly publication that contains essential information about the district. It includes:
- Gives basic information about the school district.
- Explains parent rights and responsibilities.

Provides high school graduation requirements.

Outlines the district"s Zero Tolerance Policy, which prohibits weapons, violence, drugs, alcohol and tobacco at school.

Lists disclosures required by state or federal law.
Parents are encouraged to review the information with their child(ren). The Universal Form and Pesticide Use Notification Form must be signed and returned to school.
